Rebuilding In Malawi
If you have looked on the "History of Outreach" page here on the website, you will have seen the information that was shared about Cyclone Freddy. This tragic storm devastated the nation of Malawi. Look at that page for greater details.
We have an earnest desire to help the people rebuild. As of now, almost a year later, the people are still displaced and many are homeless. The church has lost valuable meeting places, and many are living in hopeless despair.
Possible Housing Solutions for Malawi
The traditional mud-brick construction used in Malawi will eventually fail under the strain of heavy storms and monsoon rains. Houses are lost each year, after aging out under the stress of extreme heat and tropical rains.
The government has asked people to rebuild in new locations, on higher ground, so that the tragic loss of life in Cyclone Freddy will not be repeated. It makes for a great challenge. The people have very, very little to work with. The new sites are not developed. There is no water in the new areas. Excavation must be done to create roads to the sites, and then create the site for a village. It's a large task. Once the site is created, new homes can be established. Bowman Ministries is researching pre-manufactured housing options that are 100% weather proof.

Youth Center in Darhaan, Mongolia
Bowman Ministries team members have been working to help Evangelist Maidar Davaa and his wife Nansa to renovate and construct a beautiful youth center in the city of Darkhaan. Maidar and Nansa have worked for years to bring the Youth Center into service. Many of the surrounding families are anxious to send their children to learn from them.
if the Lord wills, we would like to send a team to help to finish the Youth Center. The team would also be able to help in creating a powerful Grand Opening to reach the youth of Darkhaan.
Years of labor are coming to a close, leading to a Grand Opening!
